About
A starter kit, six fish, and week three
Bowboww is a sole proprietorship based in Hyderabad, Telangana, operating online as Marivelle Ledger (marivelleledger.shop).
How this started
A 60-litre starter kit, bought on a Sunday in Hyderabad with six fish added the same afternoon because that is what the shop suggested. Everything looked perfect for a fortnight. In week three the water went cloudy and four of them died.
Nothing had been faulty. The filter had simply not cycled — there were no bacteria to process the ammonia, and six fish on day one guaranteed it. That is written on no box and mentioned in almost no listing, and it is the reason most first tanks fail.
The first thing a new tank needs is two weeks of nothing happening.
Our commitment
Volume as it actually fills
Quoted allowing for substrate, decor and the gap under the rim — not the flattering figure on the carton.
Cycling on every kit page
Every starter kit says, before the buy button, that it needs two to four weeks running before fish go in.
Equipment only
We do not sell live fish, plants or animals, and we do not arrange them. Buy those locally where you can see them.
Our story
The catalogue is equipment: tanks, lights, heaters, pumps and the kit that goes with them. Everything carries the numbers that matter — litres, watts, colour temperature — rather than a mood photograph with plants that were not included.
We would rather sell you the right heater and tell you to wait a fortnight than sell you a bottle of something that claims to skip the wait. Those products exist, they are on our supplier lists, and we do not stock them.
Online only
There is no showroom and no walk-in counter. Marivelle Ledger trades entirely online and ships across India from Hyderabad, Telangana, which keeps overheads off the price of the goods.
